Owner, Suncoast Pickleball Association Coach Russell considers himself fortunate to have hired and worked with over 65 Pickleball Pros at the Suncoast Pickleball Camps in Montreat, NC. They have taught him different strategies and techniques to play winning pickleball and have fostered his growth in the sport.
About this speaker
Coach Russell’s pickleball career started in Tampa, Florida in 2012 with the Hillsborough County Parks & Recreation Department. After retirement, he moved to Sarasota where he became a pickleball ambassador and started Suncoast Pickleball. He has conducted 15 tournaments in Florida and brought and expanded pickleballtournaments.com to the eastern side of the United States. He was honored to award Ben Johns his very first GOLD Medal in 2017 at the Riverbend Tournament with partner, Kyle Yates.
In 2016, Coach Russell formed the very first Pickleball Boot Camp in America (as recognized by the ITPTA). Since then, Suncoast has conducted 19 camps, plus 5 more scheduled for this year. Each camp is a week-long residential camp featuring 8 pros with 64 players.
